Made of Steel : A short film about Field Cycles.
Field Cycles was born 5 years ago when Harry Harrison, from Sheffield in England, asked some of his friends to join him in a project. His goal : make beautiful handcrafted steel frames with no concessions to modernity.
Field Cycles offers bespoke bicycles that are the result of an idea that’s more and more common in the cycling world : the anti-mass production. While some people are spending big money to buy high-end carbon bicycles that don’t really fit them, some other are looking for something different. Bespoke frame builders offer an alternative that is both logic, bio-mechanically speaking, and interesting in terms of style.
Field Cycles also has a paint department called Chromaworks that produce breathtaking work. Modern designs on a classical layering of paint : no decals here.
Check out this short film by Walker Creative that show how they work and how their passion and love for the bicycles transpires into their creations.
