Remember our friends from the whole riding a fixed gear bike in a skate pool in a bar thing? Yeah, Gnarly Conspiracy are at it again, with something, in my mind, even better. On their Instagram account they showed off their new Kreitler Goldsprint machine.
Looking at that photo you see a Cinelli Mash on some rollers with a bolted front axle and some wires. That’s because, goldsprints are a sort of competition you do with two or more rollers engaged in a race against time. The rider of the roller who took the least time to pedal the designated distance wins. Simple, yet incredibly fun to look at, in a party, and to do. Add a sprint program, a projector screen, the second setup, and you’ve got a race. Beers not included. Mix all this with a good ambiance, good people, and loud music for a hell of a night.
Here’s a little demonstration in video form ;
You can count on us being there and making a small video, too.
